1:1 ASD Teaching Assistant - South Liverpool
Daily Rate: 86- 96 per day
Location: South Liverpool
Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday

A vibrant and welcoming mainstream school in South Liverpool is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This full-time role is ideal for someone who is committed to fostering positive learning experiences and building strong, trusting relationships with pupils.
The Role:
* Supporting a pupil with ASD on a 1:1 basis to promote engagement, confidence, and academic progress.
* Implementing strategies to help manage behavior, build routines, and support emotional regulation.
* Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt lesson plans and ensure the pupil's individual needs are met.
* Encouraging social interaction and participation in classroom activities.
The Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for someone who is:
* Patient and empathetic: You understand the importance of creating a safe and nurturing learning environment.
* Adaptable: You can think on your feet and tailor your approach to suit the individual needs of the pupil.
* Experienced: Previous experience working with children with SEND, particularly ASD, is highly desirable.
* Proactive: You take initiative, support with planning, and can confidently follow behavior management strategies.
* Committed: You are reliable and dedicated to helping the pupil achieve their full potential.
Requirements:
* Relevant experience working with children, ideally in a SEND or ASD-specific setting.
* A good understanding of strategies to support children with autism.
* An up-to-date DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
