Description Job Title : Project Manager Public Spaces Hours: 37 hours per week Salary : Grade 10 £49,764 - £52,805 Gosport Borough Council is pleased to offer a Project Manager-Public Spaces role as part of the Streetscene Team, delivering and facilitating a wide range of open space, sports, play areas and leisure infrastructure projects included in the council’s Capital Programme aligned with the medium and long term strategies, to enable a healthier and more active lifestyle for residents. This is an exciting opportunity to work in partnership with community organisations, leisure, play and sport providers, national governing bodies and other council teams. You will develop projects and associated initiatives to help meet the needs of local communities and the local strategic vision for Gosport Borough. As part of this role, you will report to the Head of Public Spaces and may be required to deputise for them on matters relating to strategy and projects. You will also be expected to support wider corporate working from time to time. You will need to enjoy a challenge, whilst working as part of a team dedicated to creating a positive difference for local people through delivering local open space, leisure, health, sport and play provision. Your responsibilities will involve delivering projects in accordance with legislative requirements and the council’s priorities, policies, and procedures. Furthermore, you will collaborate with elected Members, contractors, partners, and stakeholders to deliver effective and efficient services. The post holder will work a hybrid working style, with a combination of remote/home working and office attendance.
