Children’s Home Team Leader (40 hours per week) Location: On Site Salary: £13.50 About the Role: The Team Leader has responsibility towards ensuring the day-to-day running of the home is safe and fulfilling for the young people and the Residential Care Workers are all aware of the expectations on them on behalf of the Registered Manager and ultimately. The Team Leader must ensure that the needs of the young people are always met. Which means ensuring that the children and young people are in safe and comfortable environment. Key Responsibilities: Take responsibility for junior staff, delegating effectively and appropriately on behalf of the Registered Manager. This includes ensuring they meet requirements of the children’s needs. To develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with partner agencies and clinical teams to ensure individual assessment plans and support packages are achievable and adhered to. To retain up to date information relating to any legislative changes and disseminate this information throughout the service as required, including proposing policy revision. To develop and ensure maintenance of monitoring systems in accordance with Health and Safety requirements. Ensure maintenance of administrative systems for children’s casework records, referrals and assessments, including risk assessments, and that confidentiality, standards and boundaries are adhered to. Ensuring that the physical buildings, fixtures and fittings are maintained to a high standard and in good decorative order and is secure. That the home is inventoried, liaising with maintenance and the Registered Manager as appropriate. To participate in operational service development along with the SMT Ensure there are effective formal and informal communication channels within the pathway, that policy and procedural information is adhered to, so staff can always operate knowledgeably and safely.
