We are currently recruiting to our Adult Day Service…
We are looking for Caring and reliable Casual Support Worker's to work within the Wyre Disability Day Service in Fleetwood.
We are looking for cheerful and positive individuals who would like to make a difference to the people we support, to come and join our team. We need people to join us who have an upbeat attitude and friendly persona who want to make a substantial difference to the lives of the people we support within our Adult Disability Service.
It is not essential that you have a background in Health and Social Care, you just need to have a good heart and a caring nature. We provide all the required training to ensure you get the most from your role, with qualifications on offer it's a great opportunity to progress in this service and turn it into a career to be proud of!
Passion – we want to recruit people with a passion to make a difference to the people we supports' lives, your commitment to the people we support will be life changing in the work you do, the day services are fun and energised, you will complete a variety of tasks some centre based, some community activities walking, ten pin bowling, art and craft sessions, dance. you will support and enable people with all aspects of their day from making a drink to supporting people with personal care, finances, medication and anything else they require in their day-to-day life – you will at times support people into the community to participate in activities.
Empathy & Resilience – you will have an understanding of the challenges the people we support deal with which means an empathetic. nature is of upmost importance, the needs of some of our service users can be complex and you may face behaviours that challenge so you will need to have a genuine passion to understand people and want to support people to have a good day. – it is essential that you can communicate clearly and effectively with every individual providing reassurance and positivity.
Reward – this role is one of the most rewarding that you will find, seeing the difference you have made to a person's life right before your eyes – the smallest things go a long way and you will be relied upon to continue with your endless support and guidance – From commencing in post, you will be supported in this position with an induction programme and mandatory training package.
