We currently have a vacancy for an Administrative Assistant Apprentice to join our Adult Skills Team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Adult Skills Team and be at the forefront of a programme focused on upskilling adults, connecting them to employment opportunities and supporting career progression. Our new Administrative Assistant Apprentice will play a leading role in driving the progress of the devolved Adult Skills Fund, in our mission to improve the impact that funding has on the lives and prospects of West Yorkshire residents and the economy.

The Role
Reporting into the Project Officer your key responsibilities will include:
1. Supporting the coordination of key events in the Adult Skills calendar, ensuring all elements run smoothly.
2. Helping to facilitate meetings by preparing agendas, taking minutes, and following up to ensure attendees are aware of their actions.
3. Developing and implementing creative ways to improve processes within the team.
4. Using IT skills to produce high-quality documents, presentations, and reports.
5. Collaborating with team members to provide administrative support across projects and initiatives.

About You
You will have the following key skills, attributes, education and experience:
1. Educated to GCSE level with at least 5 grades A-C/4 or above, including English and Maths (or equivalent).
2. Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
3. Confident IT user, proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfortable learning new software.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to build positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
5. Proactive and enthusiastic, with the ability to work on your own initiative or as part of a team.
