Specification Sales Manager JOB TITLE: Specification Sales Manager Summary of Role The Specification Sales Manager will be responsible for the daily management of three successful specification driven departments, driving them to hit personal and department targets. This person will need the ability to coach and mentor team members towards success and enjoy training and development of individuals. Your key influencers will be consultant engineers, civil engineering contractors, councils and agencies to name a few. You will work effectively within the team to achieve personal and department objectives in line with strategy and embrace the Company Vision, Goals, Values & Behaviours. You will need to have good communication skills to enable you to build strong relationships with your departments. The successful candidate will need to have a hunger to achieve and the desire to motivate a team. Key responsibilities Oversee the three successful specification driven departments, 8 team members in total with ongoing recruitment plans to expand. Drive the team to achieve 100% of target Ensure that the team provides accurate forecasts, and the system is kept up to date with probability, value and stage for forecasting. Ensure the development of all team members by conducting monthly 121s and yearly PDR’s (Personal Development Reviews). Pre and post site advice, visits and assistance Work effectively within the team to ensure market leading standards of customer care and satisfaction at all times. Provide technical assistance and recommendations utilising the engineering department where appropriate Assist with the implementation of department sales and marketing strategies. Develop new and existing targeted accounts. Regularly review the CRM system to ensure data availability is optimised to drive performance, review reports, and dashboards. Manage lead flow to ensure all leads are managed pro-actively within agreed timescales. Conduct department meetings using established KPI’s and measures. Maintain and increase the conversion rate of technical recommendations to orders. Maximise the Marketing department to promote the team, Company, products and applications. Monthly reports to the Senior Management team. Office based role with potential requirements for travel to support the team when required Requirements of the role Technical expertise within the construction industry Experience of managing a successful team Professional, effective and consistent communication skills across all functions at all levels Experience in gaining and defending specifications Excellent communication and presentation skills Ability and desire to motivate and develop people Excellent organisation skills, planning & preparation, methodological approach Actively demonstrate the ‘Values and Behaviours’ of the business Understand and work in line with the Geosynthetics Limited business plan Experience in customer relations.
