About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) team as a Senior Programme Manager.
The Company Overview: The National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) is a major funder of applied health research in low- and middle-income countries. We work in partnership with the NHS, universities, local government, other research funders, patients, and the public to deliver world-leading health and social care research that improves people's health and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities: As a Senior Programme Manager, you will be responsible for providing expert advice, guidance, and monitoring to NIHR domestic and global health programmes on the development and delivery of their strategic plans for public/community involvement and engagement. You will work with colleagues across the NIHR and beyond to coordinate collaborative approaches to sharing resources, learning, and effective practice.
Job Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need to have a degree in humanities, arts, and social sciences or equivalent experience. You should also have knowledge and experience of patient and public involvement in the community or healthcare sector and/or research, as well as experience in project leadership and diversity. Strong influencing and negotiation skills, excellent communication skills, and effective planning/organisational skills are essential. Salary and Benefits: The salary for this position is £47,300 - £49,900 per annum, plus bonus subject to company performance. You will also receive 25 days annual leave, plus public holidays, an enhanced contributory pension scheme, life insurance, Benenden Healthcare, Season Ticket Loan, laptop, IT equipment, and remote IT support.
Work Environment: This is a full-time, permanent, office-based, hybrid role, with an expectation for all employees to attend our offices a minimum of 4 days a month. You will be working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, collaborating with colleagues from diverse backgrounds to achieve shared goals.
