Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant (Psychology Graduate)

Are you a psychology graduate with experience supporting children in education? Do you have a passion for making a difference in the lives of SEN students?
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our team and provide tailored support to a student with additional learning needs. This role is ideal for a psychology graduate who understands the importance of emotional well-being and inclusive education.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 support to a student with SEN, including Autism, ADHD, or Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
* Implement strategies to promote engagement, confidence, and progress in learning.
* Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt lesson materials and create a supportive learning environment.
* Use your psychology knowledge to help manage behaviour and support emotional regulation.
* Foster independence and social development through structured interventions.
* Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to staff and parents.
Requirements:
* A degree in Psychology (or a related field).
* Previous experience working with children, particularly those with SEN, in an educational or care setting.
* A strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and psychological approaches to learning support.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting children’s development.
* Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
