Are you passionate about compliance, and ensuring everyone has a safe space to live?
If you are looking for volunteering experience as part of our dynamic team of maintenance operatives, this could be the position for you!
Our Facilities Administrator will support the Facilities Project Manager to ensure CCP’s Compliance Log is updated, and that our documents and certificates are filed correctly.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must in order to liaise with landlords and contractors to ensure that critical work is scheduled and recorded in a timely manner.
Tenacity and resilience are essential in this role, as landlords will often need reminding of their responsibilities. Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and pivot tables would also benefit applicants.
As a volunteer, you can choose how much of your time to give. This role would be perfect for someone who wants to contribute Monday to Friday, either working from home or at our head office in Cheltenham.
We place the safety of our Clients, Staff, Students, and Volunteers first:
CCP uses Safer Recruitment practices to onboard volunteers. This means we require an application form to be completed, an interview, induction training, and Enhanced DBS/references.
What we hear from the volunteers:
We as a Charity
CCP was originally founded in 1989 by a local businessman in response to the growing number of homeless young people in Cheltenham. Recognising that people as young as 16 were sleeping rough around town after being thrown out of their family home, he purchased a building and opened a 10-bed hostel.
We have grown significantly since then and now aim to transform the lives of children, young people, families, and vulnerable adults by preventing homelessness, strengthening families, and promoting independence. With a head office in Cheltenham, we currently employ over 250 staff, backed up by a team of over 150 volunteers, delivering services and projects across Gloucestershire, Worcestershire, Herefordshire, South Gloucestershire, Bristol, Wiltshire, and Dorset.
Together WE can make a difference
