ALS Laboratories are looking for a Technical Specialist to support their Organics department at Hawarden.

Role
Days Per Week: Monday to Friday 08:30 – 16:30
Contract: Full Time and Permanent
Hours: 37 Hours
Salary: £27,000+ Dependent on experience
Key Responsibilities
Liaise with Operations and Quality to investigate method issues to root cause.
Provide support in activities relating to third party surveillance visits (e.g. UKAS).
Keep up to date with relevant legislation and ensure new and existing methodologies meet the required specifications.
Audit methods as part of the UKAS 17025 programme.
Generate accreditation packs for submission to UKAS as required, upon satisfactory completion of methods that have been validated for routine use.
Ensure regular and effective communication with team, line manager and other stakeholders as required.
Provide technical support to Operations, Customer Service, clients, and Sales.
About You
Minimum HNC/HND or equivalent in a relevant subject.
Knowledge of complex laboratory equipment and processes (LCQQQ, GCQQQ, GCMS, GCGC analysis and extraction).
Experience in training and confirming competency.
Technical background with ability to troubleshoot instruments.
Attention to detail and the ability to keep accurate records.
Excellent communication skills.
Good IT skills.
Evaluate critically and draw conclusions from scientific and other data.
Solution-oriented and attentive approach.
