Health and Social Care Teacher – Bournemouth

Teaching Personnel Dorset is seeking a dedicated and passionate Health and Social Care Teacher to join one of our partner secondary schools in Bournemouth from September 2025. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire students and support their understanding of the health and social care sector.

The Role: We are looking for a Health and Social Care Teacher to join the department on a full-time basis from September 2025. This position will be paid to scale and offers a fantastic opportunity to teach Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging lessons that help students develop the knowledge and skills needed for future careers in the sector.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan and deliver high-quality Health and Social Care lessons that inspire and engage students.
2. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
3. Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students, ensuring all learners are supported and challenged.
4. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel encouraged and motivated to succeed.
5. Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery and share best practices.
6. Contribute to the wider school community, including participating in extracurricular activities and supporting student enrichment opportunities.
What We’re Looking For:
1. A passionate and knowledgeable Health and Social Care Teacher with strong subject expertise.
2. Experience teaching Health and Social Care at KS3 and KS4.
3. Excellent classroom management skills, with the ability to create an engaging and supportive learning environment.
4. A commitment to continuous professional development and a reflective approach to teaching and learning.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
Requirements:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
2. A relevant degree or experience teaching Health and Social Care.
3. A valid child-only enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one).
4. Overseas Police Clearance (if applicable).
