Develop Hands-On Skills in Behavior Support, Communication, and Youth Advocacy
Are you passionate about supporting youth in social-emotional growth and behavioral development? Do you want real-world experience in behavior intervention, collaborative problem-solving, and crisis response?
Camp Nor’wester is seeking a Camper Support Coordinator (CSC) to help create an inclusive, supportive camp experience for all campers. This role provides direct, hands-on experience working with youth who need additional social, emotional, or behavioral support in a dynamic, outdoor environment. The CSC also plays a key role in training and guiding staff to best support their campers.
What You’ll Do
As a key member of the Leadership Team, you’ll:
– Provide one-on-one and group support to campers with social, emotional, or behavioral needs.
– Develop and implement individualized strategies to support camper success.
– Work closely with the Mental Health Counselor to assess and respond to camper challenges.
– Communicate with parents/guardians to ensure continuity of care and support.
– Coach and assist camp staff in behavior intervention strategies and conflict resolution.
– Help lead staff training and ongoing education on camper support techniques.

* Ability to live on-site for the full summer in a shared staff tent.
