Remuneration: £25,000 - £30,000 + 10% bonus

The role of the Laboratory Technician – Concrete, Screed & Aggregates will involve:
1. Technician position dealing with a high quality manufactured range of liquid screeds
2. Working along the technical team to provide technical support to existing and potential clients internally and externally
3. Planning trials and carrying out scientific comparison work
4. Helping with R&D projects to develop new and improved products
5. Resolving technical issues & complaints
6. Conducting site tests, site improvement meetings and development trials
7. Ensuring equipment is maintained in good, working condition and ensuring equipment maintenance / calibration is performed according to time schedules
8. Maintaining MSDS or COSHH documents
9. Reporting into the Technical Manager
The ideal applicant will be:
1. Laboratory Technician – Concrete, Screed & Aggregates with a chemistry related qualification (A-level or degree)
2. Experience working in a laboratory environment
3. Ideally have experience dealing with concrete related products such as; precast concrete, ready mix concrete, concrete admixtures, cement admixtures, chemicals admixtures, grouts, resins, screeds, liquid screeds
4. Experience in concrete testing, aggregate testing, site testing, quality control & binder testing
5. Experience with ISO 9001
6. IT literate (Microsoft Office)
7. Physically demanding role with lifting and manual handling involved (must be willing to get hands dirty)
8. Full UK driving license
9. A positive, energetic and confident individual
