We're thrilled to announce our new project, "Championing National Parks for Everyone" funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund. This initiative will enhance our collaboration with the Yorkshire Dales, North York Moors, and Peak District National Parks. The Development Manager will play a key role in shaping the future of our charity and this project.
Reporting to the Board of Trustees, the Development Manager will be responsible for:
* Developing an income strategy to secure Peak District Mosaic's future and continue engaging new audiences.
* Overseeing the delivery of this new project, managing a partnership consisting of Peak District Mosaic, the Peak District, Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors National Parks Authorities and Derbyshire Dales CVS.
* Project manage the delivery of a range of activities within the National Parks to help support more people from diverse communities to visit, enjoy and work in the National Parks.
* Ensuring timely reporting and evaluation of the project.
* Overseeing the Project Coordinator, who will organise activities for Peak District Mosaic, train and support Community Champions to lead their own initiatives, encouraging community visits to the National Parks.
* Develop Peak District Mosaic as a larger, more sustainable and financially resilient organisation.
* Development of processes, policies and systems at the charity to help build capacity, with the support of the Board of Trustees and Derbyshire Dales CVS.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced, enthusiastic individual to join Peak District Mosaic and its partners. The applicant should possess the following:
* Ability to develop strategy for a charity and put this into practice, especially in relation to income generation and project development.
* Knowledge of the charity sector and funding models, with a proven ability to help charities generate income through various sources, such as grant writing, event fundraising, corporate donor relations, and developing training and consultancy services.
* Project management experience, including experience of reporting to funders and working with partners to deliver a project.
* Strong budget management experience, including understanding of cashflows and setting income targets.
* Excellent communications skills, with the ability to connect with a wide range of people.
* Excellent IT skills, especially using Excel for budget management and Word and PowerPoint for project reports.
* Ability to work using own initiative, with good time management, prioritisation and organisational skills.
* Enthusiasm about making sure that our National Parks and outdoor spaces are for everyone.
Hours of Work: 30 hours per week. Some weekend and evening work will be required.
Contract length: 22 months fixed term (until November 2026), with the ambition to extend depending on funding.
Salary: £33,600 pro rata
