Commercial Building Manager
Manage a prestigious 200,000 sq. foot site in Central London. This is a high-end building management role for an experienced professional. You will oversee a commercial office building and manage an efficient assistant.
Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 (DoE) plus great benefits!
Family-owned property management business is recruiting on behalf of the landlord of this incredible property. They are a growing property business that manages all aspects of this building. Start date: March – April 2025.
As a dynamic, organized, professional, and experienced Building Manager, you will ensure efficient management of the building. You will work to the highest standards of management, maintenance, and service, manage a £3m service charge budget, and lead and develop an assistant building manager.
This role requires someone who can self-manage, has fantastic problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop tenant relationships and report on property management issues, including formal written reports and ad-hoc communication as required.
2. Collaborate across departments with surveyors and support staff.
3. Manage contractors to ensure PPM works and reactive maintenance are carried out efficiently in line with company policies and procedures.
4. Monitor statutory and internal compliance, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures, as well as RICS and ISO standards.
5. Collect data, set budgets, and manage budgets for management, maintenance, and service charge.
6. Implement agreed best practices in accordance with company policies and procedures.
7. Manage and develop an assistant building manager.
Requirements:
1. Knowledge of building services maintenance operations.
2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
3. Proven experience in client and customer engagement.
4. Experience in contract management and managing KPIs.
5. Good experience in developing service charge budgets management and reporting.
6. IOSH certification.
7. Good understanding of property management principles and current industry trends.
