Job Description Job Description Job Title/Position Sales Manager Department Commercial Responsible To Chief Commercial Officer & Engineering & Business Development Director Responsible For No Direct Reports Hours of Work 40 hours per week. Main Purpose To develop and secure profitable orders and new product sales for TPS developed EV Chargers, related grid infrastructure and DC microgrid products. To be the voice of the customer in this new sector for TPS and play a key role in facilitating the company’s entry into the commercial fleet ultra rapid charg er market. To achieve and surpass sales targets and KPIs set. Main Duties/Function To develop, inform and execut e the Company’s strategy to drive sustainable sales growth of EV Charger, related grid infrastructure and DC microgrid products and related services for identified target markets. Take responsibility for customer account management, directly supporting commercial and technical account queries whilst coordinating with internal TPS departments to seek resolution Provide the strategic direction to the Company on business development issues to enable new and repeat sales, justifying when appropriate where the company could pursue new markets and/or new product developments. Develop high level and profitable relationship s with organisations to ensure the Company is well positioned to win further business by seeking competitive intelligence to steer the business in the correct strategic direction. To carry out surveys of customer satisfaction to identify the scope for improvements in product quality and service delivery. Maintain regular contact with other functions within the company to keep abreast of any developments in the fields of product marketing and research to ensure that the Company continues to compete effectively. Assist in the development of sales and marketing literature and associated documentation to improve marketing of the Company and its products. Determine technical and commercial requirements when assessing new business development and sales opportunities, co-ordinating with engineering and commercial departments where necessary to complete opportunity assessment. Prepare and pitch benefits and value proposition for TPS products and services. Provide continuous feedback to TPS product development and commercial teams on competitive intelligence, market and industry trends. Evaluate market opportunities, identify market size, segmentation and viable routes to entry, considering competitor positioning and product differentiation as factors to entry Work closely with commercial teams to facilitate preparation of winning bids. Represent TPS on relevant industry steering groups, coordinate exhibition attendance and present at conferences. Be on target or exceed expectations on assigned KPIs including sales targets. Actively follow the Company’s Health and Safety Policy, Procedures and safe systems of work, and be responsible for your own health and welfare, working with colleagues to ensure that the working environment is safe. This includes following instructions and actively participating in training and development to ensure compliance and best practice in this area. Educational / Quals. Essential: Sales training or industry proven certificate Desirable: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or time served apprentice within the design team of an electrical/electronics company Practical Experience Essential: Proven track record of selling EV charger products for commercial applications A demonstrable portfolio of contacts within the industry. Desirable: A good understanding and experience of working in the energy and utilit ies sector. Skills & Competence Level Essential: Communication and negotiation skills. Ability to identify and quantify commercial and technology synergies to determine genuine sales opportunities. New opportunity business planning Desirable: Project Management Additional Comments Good communication and presentation skills, written and oral. Motivated and organised individual who is at ease liaising with customers as well as other internal functions within the company.
