Job summary/PurposeYou will be responsible for providing legal secretarial support to both the Regional Solicitors and Divisional Legal Manager. You will provide an efficient, service led and cost-effective legal secretarial service that supports the business, particularly in relation to its key operations of land acquisition, disposal and plot sales. This is a part time role, working 1-2 days a week. Primary ResponsibilitiesDrafting, amending, formatting and checking complex legal documents as directed by the RS / DLMUndertaking SDLT calculations and the completion and submission of SDLT formsCompletion and submission of Land Registry applicationsMonitoring the progress of outstanding Land Registry applications, chasing up and checking the online portal for incoming correspondence and documentationUndertaking all pertinent property searches via the online portal, responding to requests for further information and chasing up as appropriate Producing and distributing Legal Reports and Contract Packs to the BU and third parties using electronic resources, including checking title registers and obtaining relevant title documentationProducing correspondence, memoranda and documentation using audio and copy typing as directedSelf-directed drafting of correspondence or documentation where appropriateProducing and updating monthly status reports regarding acquisitions, site set up and other important transactions and logging new matters on an internal databaseUsing the Land Registry portal for SIM searches, priority searches, day list enquiries and other functionsUsing Companies House to obtain basic company informationDiarising and keeping track of key datesMaintaining filing systems, to include updating and amending both paper and electronic filing records, together with archiving recordsDealing with telephone enquiries as and when they arise, referring to the appropriate member of the Legal team or other departments within the CompanyAdministrative duties including photocopying, scanning, producing and binding engrossment documents, arranging meetings and co-ordinating diaries, franking post and printing correspondence in all media (this list is not exhaustive)Experience, Qualifications, Technical RequirementsSubstantial legal secretarial/support experience within a conveyancing or property focussed setting.Used to working to tight deadlines and in a fast paced and pressurised environment.Inclusivity StatementAs a proud Disability Confident Employer, Taylor Wimpey is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workforce.
