Dean Close School are looking to appoint a new Teacher of Computer Science for our school. This role is a full-time position and ideally, we would like the new candidate to start in April 2025 or September 2025.
We are looking for an experienced Computer Science Teacher to deliver lessons for our students studying in GCSE and A-Level classes. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated teacher to deliver GCSE and A-Level classes and, depending on experience, to lead on ICT across the curriculum including advising departments on Artificial Intelligence and its application. Other roles and responsibilities include:
1. To plan and deliver lessons to all age ranges and abilities from Year 9 up to A Level/Level 3.
2. To motivate and engage students to reach their potential in Information Technology.
3. To help run Computer Science clinics outside of lesson times to support students needing extra help.
4. The ability to inspire and teach pupils of different abilities and backgrounds in a co-educational context.
5. To be responsible for a small tutor group, overseeing their personal development and progress across all subjects.
6. To develop virtual learning and ICT solutions within the department.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher or an ECT teacher looking to join an exciting department at the start of their career.
