About the Role
As a Recovered Fibre Buyer, you will play a crucial role in driving our expansion by sourcing and securing high-quality recovered paper fibre from across the UK. This is more than just procurement; it's about strategic business development, market expansion, and fostering strong industry partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
1. Identify and secure high-quality recovered fibre in line with EN643 standards
2. Build and maintain strong commercial relationships with B2B suppliers, brokers, and waste management companies
3. Develop and implement strategies to expand Restore Datashred’s fibre procurement network
4. Work closely with our Head of Infrastructure & Paper Sales and the Paper Sales Team to identify and target key industries
5. Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing fluctuations to drive strategic decision-making
6. Represent Restore Datashred at industry events and trade associations to enhance market presence
7. Ensure seamless supply chain management by overseeing uplifts and deliveries into our processing facilities
8. Collaborate with sales, operations, and logistics teams to optimise procurement processes
What We’re Looking For
1. Essential: Proven experience in the Recovered Fibre industry in a sales or procurement role
2. A strong network of industry contacts and the ability to generate new business
3. Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
4. A results-driven mindset with the ambition to exceed targets
5. Experience in waste streams or commodity trading is highly desirable
6. Memberships or experience with industry groups such as RA, EUWID & CPI is advantageous.
7. Strong analytical skills, with medium to high proficiency in Excel & Power BI
8. Experience in a logistics or production environment
9. Full, clean UK driving licence is required
