An experienced building services provider is seeking a Contracts & Small Works Manager to oversee the delivery of small M&E projects and identify new opportunities. The Contracts & Small Works Manager must have either qualifications or experience in heating systems, have a proven track record of managing multi-site Hard FM maintenance contracts, have strong relationship building skills, and have a relevant technical background. In addition, you will need to have a DBS check and UK driving licence. Applications from ex-military personnel are strongly encouraged Key Responsibilities: Develop and strengthen relationships with existing clients to secure additional revenue opportunities Identify and pursue new leads to grow client base and revenue streams Meet/exceed sales targets for quoted works Work closely with clients to understand their needs and offer tailored solutions Plan and manage small M&E projects with a focus on timely, high-quality delivery Optimise project delivery processes Monitor project performance Address project challenges proactively Conduct post-project evaluations Manage and support colleagues and contractors Oversee the day-to-day operations of planned and reactive M&E services Conduct team meetings, performance reviews, and identify training needs Ensure adherence to Health & Safety standards Prepare/manage budgets for contracts / projects Conduct regular client meetings Compile and analyse KPIs to identify opportunities for improvement Ensure full statutory compliance across all contracts and projects Knowledge, skills and qualifications: Essential: Have heating systems experience, knowledge, or qualifications A proven track record of managing multi-site Hard FM maintenance contracts Demonstrable success in driving sales and building strong client relationships Experience managing small works, projects and delivering financial targets Advanced IT proficiency Full UK driving licence Eligibility for a DBS disclosure Excellent communication, negotiation, and client relationship skills Strong organisational and project management skills, with attention to detail Analytical and financial acumen to maximise project profitability A self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving and sales development Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to travel as required Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 Benefit: performance-related bonus, company car or allowance, pension, death in service, career development, and more
