Position Summary as a Project Manager:
Are you a proactive leader with a passion for driving engineering excellence? We are looking for a dynamic Project Manager to lead the successful execution of critical engineering projects. You will be responsible for ensuring seamless communication across senior management, engineering teams, and on-site delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities as a Project Manager:
1. Ensuring that all necessary equipment, resources, and information are in place for seamless project delivery, anticipating needs to keep operations running smoothly.
2. Oversee the setup of project teams, ensuring that all essential documentation, including permits, POWRA's, site checklists, and other project files are in place.
3. Ensuring all handover deliverables are completed and submitted on schedule.
4. Ensure all project activities align with quality, health, safety, and environmental policies and regulations.
5. Assist with engineering and commercial change, managing project budgets and addressing any variations in project scope.
6. Act as the primary contact with the client, streamlining project planning, and proactively resolving constraints to facilitate upcoming work.
7. Prepare project reports, monitor milestones, and communicate progress clearly.
8. Apply knowledge of construction health and safety principles, ensuring safe work environments.
9. Utilize knowledge of construction planning and programme management to support efficient and timely completion.
10. Promote company business through excellent customer care and high levels of customer satisfaction.
11. Oversee project documentation and administrative tasks, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for all project records.
Qualifications / Skills of Project Manager:
1. Degree in construction or other relevant Project Management qualifications is preferred but not essential if you have relevant PM experience.
2. Strong knowledge of engineering processes, material handling equipment, steelwork design, mechanical installations, and electrical components.
3. Excellent skills in Microsoft Office and electronic document management systems.
4. Good written and verbal communication skills.
5. Ability to gain an airside pass which would include a clear DBS and 5-year referencing.
