Role Overview:
We are seeking a proactive Learning Mentor - Behaviour to join the behavioural intervention team. This pivotal role involves supporting students both in and out of the classroom, focusing on overcoming barriers to learning and promoting emotional regulation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Mentoring students and facilitating workshops to support behaviour regulation and decision-making.
* Collaborating with colleagues to maintain a calm and focused learning environment.
* Assisting in implementing interventions and supporting colleagues during challenging situations.
* Ensuring disruptive behaviours are managed effectively, including escorting students to intervention spaces when necessary.
Requirements:
* Strong ability to build rapport with students based on honesty, consistency, positive reinforcement, and respect.
* Experience in youth work or similar roles, with proven skills in behaviour management and de-escalation techniques.
* Commitment to fostering a safe and supportive school community.
