Senior Mechanical Engineer (Building Services)

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will have full responsibility for guiding and delivering mechanical services design projects. For the right person, this will be an opportunity to develop the role and grow with the company.
Your clients will come from a variety of sectors, including Domestic, Commercial, and Public Buildings. The majority of your team's projects will relate to Building Services Design; however, you will also work closely with the Low Energy Building Design & Project Management Team.
Typically, your projects will cover Heating Systems Design, Hot & Cold Water Design, Ventilation and Heat Recovery Systems Design, Above Ground Drainage Systems Design, HVAC Systems Design, HVAC Control systems, Air conditioning & Cooling Systems Design, Mechanical Plant Room Design, and Air Source and Ground Source Systems Design.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Providing Mechanical Services Design to Low Energy Buildings
* Leading Mechanical Building Services Design projects through all stages
* Supporting the Building Services Design process and services team
* Supporting the construction process and project management teams
* Supporting Low Energy Building Design and technical teams
* Producing, reviewing, and approving calculations, analyses, drawings, models, and technical reports
* Providing subject matter expert knowledge on Mechanical Engineering Design
* Acting as a mentor for Junior Mechanical Engineers
* Developing and improving technical systems in the company
* Developing and maintaining relationships with clients, suppliers, and experts
**Requirements:**
* Minimum 2 years' experience leading/managing technical staff
* Minimum 5 years' experience in the Building Services Sector
* Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Related Degree/Apprenticeship
We offer a Total Compensation Package up to £67,500, including a Base Salary up to £60,000. Additional benefits include 28 days Holiday (Plus 8 Days Public Holidays), 6% Employer Pension Contribution, Comprehensive Training and Personal Development Plan, Monday to Friday (Flexi Start/Finish Time), and Hybrid Working (2 days WFH/3 days office-based).
