Are you an enthusiastic dietitian with an interest in working with adults in the acute setting? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and dynamic dietitian, to join the team at Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust (HCT) at the Lister Hospital in East and North Hertfordshire, delivering a service as part of the Acute dietetic team. This is a permanent post, advertised as 22.5 hours per week. The successful candidate will work as part of the broader HCT Nutrition and Dietetic Service, which is Hertfordshire wide.
The role includes inpatient work including experience in the following areas:
• ITU (including enteral and parenteral feeding).
• Stroke
• Eating disorders
• Gastroenterology
• Outpatient clinics (face to face and virtual).

• To work as an independent practitioner using a specialist level of knowledge and skills in the provision of a dietetic service to a caseload of inpatients in critical care and those requiring parenteral nutrition.
• To work independently andto be responsible for the provision of a dietetic service to general inpatients in a variety of areas including stroke, eating disorders and gastroenterology.
• To participate in weekly Nutrition ward rounds with Consultant Gastroenterologist and Nutrition Nurse.
• To deliver a designated outpatient clinic.
• To provide support and mentoring to newly qualified / student dietitians.
