The School:
Supply Desk is delighted to work with a highly supportive and inclusive school in Winslow, committed to helping all children achieve their full potential. The school is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work with students who have Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Key Responsibilities:
Support students with SEN in a classroom setting, ensuring they have access to an inclusive learning experience.
Work closely with teachers, support staff, families, and external professionals to provide holistic support tailored to each child’s needs.
Assist in developing and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs), Behaviour Plans, Risk Assessments, and Therapy Care programmes.
Provide one-to-one or small-group support, helping students to develop confidence and independence.
Foster a positive and nurturing learning environment for all students.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Previous experience working with SEN students or a strong desire to work in this field.
A good understanding of Special Educational Needs and a willingness to undertake relevant training.
Strong skills in managing challenging behaviours and adapting learning approaches to suit individual needs.
Commitment to regular, fixed working days (full-time or part-time).
A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
