We are looking for a new colleague to join our team as the Business Manager, and be a key player in our success, contributing to strategic initiatives, shaping risk management, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The Business Manager role is a critical investment to ensure our digital transformation programme is successfully delivered. Working closely with the Director, you will be responsible for enhancing governance, and aligning the project and team with SAAS’ priorities, this role will deliver long-term value and ensure the programme’s objectives are met efficiently and effectively. Responsibilities Responsibilities Provide administrative and business management support to the programme director. Oversee the contract management and contractors associated with the project, including detailed time sheets, and adherence to delivery against profiled budget. Manage procurement cycles, vendor relationships, and contract administration to ensure programme requirements are met efficiently. Support collaboration with SG Procurement teams. Maintain robust governance frameworks to ensure programme accountability and compliance. Support programme audits, reviews, and assurance processes. Respond to FOIs, SARs, and PQs and EIRs. Preparing briefing and advice for senior officials and Ministers and supporting Executive meetings. Represent the team’s needs and priorities at the executive level, often attending senior meetings and using established networks. Manage budgeting, resource allocation, and reporting for the programme with extensive knowledge of Capital and Revenue project spend. Support decision-making through data-driven analysis and recommendations. Complete AO templates & Business cases and engage with SG core on budget allocation and spending profiles. Line manage the business/project administrator.
