Job Overview: I am supporting a couple of schools within the Telford area in recruiting for Science teachers. The ideal candidates will be passionate about teaching science and committed to fostering a curiosity-driven learning environment. These roles require delivering high-quality, engaging lessons across key scientific disciplines, including biology, chemistry, and physics, to inspire students to explore, question, and understand the world around them. The Science Teacher will be responsible for developing students' scientific thinking, practical skills, and a deeper understanding of the natural world. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver lessons in a range of scientific disciplines (e.g., biology, chemistry, physics), following the curriculum and meeting the learning needs of students. Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of diverse learners and support students with different levels of ability. Maintain a positive, safe, and productive classroom environment. Encourage collaborative learning through group projects, discussions, and peer feedback. Provide clear instructions on the use of laboratory equipment, chemicals, and materials while promoting a safe working environment. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress, grades, and attendance. Collaborate with parents and guardians to support students’ educational development. Collaborate with colleagues in the science department to share resources, best practices, and align teaching strategies. Promote science education outside the classroom by encouraging participation in local or national science competitions. Qualifications: A degree in Science or a related field (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics). Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent. Strong knowledge of scientific principles and the curriculum.
