Pharmacy Dispenser

Job overview
We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic Pharmacy Dispenser to support and enhance our technical team. Your role will involve the dispensing and labelling of medicines for in-patients, out-patients and discharges, working at ward level as part of a discharge team, greeting patients at the pharmacy reception where you will receive and issue prescriptions.
Main duties of the job
You will need good communication skills and a pleasant telephone manner. You must be able to work accurately and quickly under pressure and be committed to the delivery of high standards in a patient focused service. Previous pharmacy experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided, plus you will be required to study for and gain the NVQ level 2 in Pharmacy Services.

Qualifications
* GCSE in Maths and English or equivalent
* NVQ2 in Pharmacy Services
Knowledge, Training & Experience
* Good verbal and written communication, including by telephone
* Numerical accuracy
* Awareness of the range of duties involved in the post
* Previous experience in hospital or community pharmacy
* A knowledge of stock control systems
Skills & Abilities
* Able to work quickly and accurately under pressure
* Steady and dependable but willing to accept change readily
* Skilled in computer keyboard and applications
