Nidec PowerWe have an exciting opportunity here at Nidec to join us as a Field Technician within our Power division. As a Field Technician, you will be responsible for performing electrical and mechanical operations for our customers and when you are not on-site, you will also manage projects and key tasks within the service department.Key responsibilities: Immediate response to any urgent request for on-site supportMaintenance of equipment for our customers, and resolution of any electrical or mechanical breakdownsOn-site investigations following a breakdown to identify the root cause of the failureStrict compliance with legal Health and Safety Regulations and Nidec policy On-call assistance for customers via telephone Management of own work-related administration, such as on-site reports and travel arrangementsWhen acting as Project Leader, your main duties will include:Communicating with the sales department to resolve customer issuesCo-ordinating with the sales administration team to ensure internal orders of parts for repair are processed correctlyEnsuring that projects are carried out in line with our Health and Safety policies, taking into account geographical risk and customer feedbackLiaising with the sales and sales administration team to generate further sales opportunitiesTravel Requirements: This role requires frequent travel within the UK and Ireland.Qualifications & Experience: ONC or BTEC in a relevant field, such as electrical engineeringExperience in maintaining rotating electrical machinesStrong understanding of electrotechnical principles, Strong understanding of the operation and maintenance of electric motors and alternatorsGood communication, organisation and problem-solving skillsResults-oriented, and focused on objectivesAbility to provide excellent service to customers whilst navigating potentially difficult situationsBenefits:We will support you to be at your best in work and to live well outside of it.
