Role Summary
A 2nd line manager for the Project Management Practice, to drive project managers to deliver cloud migrations for our clients.
A subject matter expert, in delivery of cloud implementation, cloud migrations, data center exits.
You will ‘Think different’, lead and challenge project managers in the right manner to achieve the desired cloud outcomes for our clients.
Your expertise and approach in Cloud Platforms and Migrations, will be key to supporting both delivery and customer escalations. You will have credibility and be comfortable in front of customers and license, to demonstrate Lifts capability and track record of Cloud migrations.
As a Cloud business leader you will be responsible for getting the best from your own and cross line of Oracle resources.

Working as a manager of lift Project managers you will be part of a small team of EMEA based project managers, collaboration with your peers and the leadership team will be critical to help define and shape the future delivery model.
You will be focused on customer success and results oriented – its all about consumption!
You will have the gravitas to engage with senior leaders and discuss delivery and business challenges. You will be supported by an offshore or near shore team of deep technical expertise.

What does a Lift delivery look like?
With opportunities provided by our cloud sales org, Lift implementation teams, led by your project managers will engage with the customer to ‘unpack’ the business challenge (for example Analytics) and the presales architectural scope into a delivery plan that you can align with the customer’s expectations.
You will have to manage resourcing, workload assignment, and where necessary escalation with the customers and internal sales, architects and presales.
Once delivery has commenced, you will manage your resources and ensure they deliver a short sharp ‘WOW’ delivery experience for our customers in approx. 50days

Be a leader, a ‘doer’, with a vision & desire to build a business with a technical project delivery focus and mentality.
8. Drive your teams to delivery the maximum consumption as quickly as possible for the lowest delivery days.
9. Commercial awareness: You will also contribute to and validate project proposals from business requirements and strategic drivers.
10. Bring entrepreneurial & innovative flare, with the tenacity to develop and prove delivery ideas independently, then share these as examples to improve the efficient of the delivery of these solutions across EMEA.
11. Orchestration of project delivery teams to deliver successfully into customers, large and small.

13. Plan, organize, direct and controls the work activities and staff of the Project management Practice, while also maintaining individual utilization goals.
14. Effective pursuit and completion of profitable Lift engagements while selling Oracle capabilities and assuring reference ability.
15. The development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met.
16. Keep the big picture in focus while being able to dive into the unique engineering challenges we face daily.
17. Understand the constrains and business challenges customers face, and be the enabler for the next wave of cloud adoption by building the bridge from existing legacy technologies that power the businesses of today to the future solutions
