Caldecote Community Primary School is a friendly and busy school in South Braunstone and has strong links with the neighbouring family of partnership schools. Our children are enthusiastic and ready to learn and our staff are friendly, hardworking and supportive. We celebrated a Good grading at our last Ofsted inspection which took place in Feb 2020. We are a large 3 form entry primary school so there are plenty of opportunities for progression and development.
We require a motivated, inspiring and enthusiastic teacher to join our leadership team. The position is also a full time teaching role based in Upper KS2 but comes with additional management release time on a weekly basis. The role of this assistant headteacher will include deployment by the Headteacher in a monitoring and development role focused on the consistency of teaching across the school. This would be an ideal opportunity to join a vastly experienced leadership team. The position is temporary for 1 year as it is not a part of the school's permanent staffing structure.
You will be expected to have:
* A proven track record of consistent high quality teaching
* An excellent classroom practitioner who can lead by example
* A track record of meeting or exceeding pupil progress targets
* An ability to effectively lead a team
* Previous experience of leading whole school development
We can offer:
* A happy school with a caring ethos
* A supportive staff team and Governing Body
* Opportunities for further professional development
* Support in all areas of your work
* Vastly experienced leadership team
