The Opportunity
This top 50 national law firm is looking for an Employment Lawyer to join their Employment, Pensions, and Immigration department. The team consists of 6 Partners, 2 Legal Directors, 2 Principal Associates, 4 Associates, and 2 Trainees. The team is ranked in both legal directories for its market-leading work.
The Role
* Advising clients in a range of sectors on the full range of employment law issues, including redundancy, disciplinary matters, grievances, whistleblowing, discrimination, and detriment claims.
* Responsibility for defending Employment Tribunal claims.
* Corporate/transactional support.
* Advising in relation to change projects, changing terms and conditions, and consultation requirements.
* Industrial relations advice.
* Assisting other members of the team with their caseloads as appropriate.
* Drafting tribunal responses, bundles, witness statements, and reports.
* Drafting articles and legal updates.
* Assisting with business development initiatives including training and networking.
