Position: Decommissioning Site Manager is a field-based role and reports to the Head of Projects. A hands-on role, whilst managing others on client sites, normally working away from home with overnight stays. The three main functions of job: - Manage the onsite delivery of decom projects. Manage Health & Safety Manage & Monitor onsite staff & suppliers Manage the onsite delivery of decom projects Ensure the correct equipment is delivered to site for the work being undertaken Read the RAMS & CPP and understand in advance of start date. Manage the timescales for the project, ensuring completion dates are met. Calculate haulage requirements & liaise with Admin team to ensure haulage & skips are supplied on time. Ensure completion information is supplied to Lynx project managers. Manage company tools and equipment, ensure it is being used correctly and staff using it have been trained to do so. Manage Health & Safety Set up the site for safe working, barriers, signage, spill kit & first aid facilities Undertake necessary risk assessment in advance of work each day, ensuring all activity & risk is captured. Ensure all staff / contractors working under you are briefed on H&S daily. Keep a daily site diary which should capture all work activity & supplier performance. Day to day responsibility for managing safety on the sites you are managing. Ensure any electrical work is being completed safely by trained and competent people. Manage & monitor onsite staff & suppliers Assign staff to daily duties and record in daily diary. Manage poor behaviour and report to line manager. Train and mentor new staff and record performance. Train & mentor new site managers. Monitor sub-contractors and report any problems they may be having or causing and captured in diary. Complete a supplier review for each supplier at the end of each project.
