Trainee Traffic Installation Technician Gloucestershire, United Kingdom (On-site)
Telent is looking for a Trainee Traffic Installation Technician to join our Traffic Signals / Traffic Lighting specialists in Gloucestershire. This is a growth role due to increased demand. The role is field-based; applicants must hold a full UK driving license and be willing to travel and work in all weather conditions.
If you're interested in gaining hands-on experience, have some electrical installation knowledge or education, and want to develop your career through structured training, this role is ideal. Join our engineering team to innovate, work with technical experts, and contribute to critical infrastructure.
Responsibilities include:
Working with experienced engineers to install, maintain, and test traffic signals and electrical components in Gloucestershire. Training includes classroom, on-the-job, desk-based, and online learning, leading to NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Highways Electrical Installations and sector certifications such as ECS and NHSS Chapter 8.
Candidate profile:
Interest in field engineering and electrical installations, with some exposure or education in electrical work. No experience? We encourage beginners with enthusiasm to apply.

* Problem-solving skills and ability to follow technical instructions
