London based with Global Reach
Excellent Salary Package + Strong Equity Accrual Element
Craigmore Sustainables Group was established in 2009 to build progressive farming, horticulture and forestry businesses, which produce quality food and fibre, sought after around the world. In doing so, Craigmore is bringing together the necessary expertise, values and capital to address the social, financial, and environmental issues at a community and global level. Investing in natural assets and revitalising rural communities is crucial to improving social equity, reversing biodiversity loss and addressing climate change.
The Group is now looking to source a key senior person as a Senior Agriculture & Forestry Analyst for the business, who will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction and undertake the operational management of the investments, with particular focus on investor relations. The role will be an important part of the small London team, who handle capital raising and investor relations for circa 250-person farm and forestry operational teams in New Zealand. The ability to clearly explain agriculture and forestry is a key requirement of the role. In general candidates should have exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal so as to explain how these sectors are evolving (globally) in the face of sustainability challenges and opportunities. Farming tends to be parochial; this role requires you to have a global perspective.

2. Regular communications, meetings and calls with Limited Partners.

5. Marketing to prospective new investors.
6. Attending the Craigmore Investment Committee to engage with the asset investment decision process.
7. Liaising with the senior leadership team and communications team in NZ.
8. Providing editorial oversight to quarterly and other investor reports, including the annual Impact and Sustainability report.
9. Participating in monthly Partnership meetings at which key elements of growth and management are addressed.
10. Working closely wit the London team (analyst(s), office manager, compliance) with the aim of succeeding to the senior investor relations role with Craigmore in London.
What We Want to See from You for This Unique Opportunity:
11. You should have a farming or forestry (and/or environmental resource management) background and a masters’ degree or equivalent professional career seniority.
12. As previously stated, domain knowledge in agriculture and/or forestry on a global basis.

The role involves a significant level of written communication, which must be to a very high standard, as English is not the first language for the majority of Craigmore clients, as well as occasional public speaking.
