Role Summary
We are delighted to be able to recruit an Operational Administrator to join the Microbiology team within the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, based at North Devon District Hospital.
About the Role
The Microbiology Department at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is based across two hospitals, the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital and North Devon District Hospital. It is part of the Pathology service providing a diagnostic Microbiology service to the Trust and community across Northern and Eastern Devon.
You will be providing administrative support to the busy Microbiology team, including Managers, Consultants, Seniors, Biomedical Scientists and Medical Laboratory Assistants.
You will be responsible to assist in the monitoring of Consultant and Laboratory email inboxes, answering phone calls, using the electronic staff record on a daily basis and minute taking in meetings. To see a full list of duties and main responsibilities, please refer to the full job description.
We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic and well-motivated candidate with relevant experience. To be the successful candidate, as well as being friendly and reliable, you will need a flexible attitude towards work with good organisational skills, self-motivation, attention to detail and good interpersonal skills. You must have the ability to work under pressure and work well within a team. Full or part-time working will be considered.
Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday. Part Time would be considered.
