Your new company and role \n\nThe position will sit within the Risk & Assurance Directorate. This role is key to driving our risk maturity forward across the business, providing independent, holistic opinions on operational risk effectiveness, and being accountable for driving operational risk reporting and insights for submission to stakeholders and boards/committees.\n\nAn expectation of the role is to support and challenge the business through the production and review of risk data, developing value-add business insights and risk profile reporting using a variety of tools and methods. Through the review of data and MI, providing insights to support the business and risk team in its risk oversight and challenge role.
Collaborating with other specialists in risk and audit to share and implement best practices.\n\nThe key objective of the Senior Manager Operational Risk Reporting and Oversight is to support a culture of risk awareness, through the effective and efficient reporting of risk and control data and MI, which will minimise the likelihood and impact of risks to the organisation and its clients. The Senior Manager Operational Risk Reporting and Oversight will work within a shared service model. \n\nThe successful candidate must be eligible to gain Security Clearance.
This role can be home-based within the UK, with minimal travel to office.\n\nDay-to-day responsibilities include:\n\nMaintain data to demonstrate adherence to the Enterprise Risk Management Framework.\nSupporting the delivery and oversight of reporting for board/committee meetings, governance, reporting and client engagement requirements.\nUsing tools and techniques to present risk data and MI in a meaningful and user-friendly way ultimately leading to more effective senior management decision-making.\nManagement and oversight of the Operational Risk Framework reporting requirements, including events and loss data, breaches, issues, risks, RCSA and root cause data, applying data and lessons learned in the oversight and challenge of the business.\nProvide Risk MI and insight to inform local management, entity boards and the BPS Ltd risk governance (risk committee) framework.\nProvision of reporting and insight to the Head of Risk Framework & Governance.\nMonitoring and reporting the risk profile and underlying data escalating concerns.\nAttendance at key governance forums to support the articulation of the risk profile of client account(s).\n\nWhat you'll need to succeed\n\nTo be successful in this role, we anticipate a mix of the following would be relevant and ensure you are able to flourish.\n\nAn understanding of the drivers of changing internal and external risk environments.\nCapable of offering the appropriate level of challenge on operational risk data and MI\nOperational Risk framework, data management and reporting skills\nUnderstanding of regulations, policies and standards applicable to the Financial Services industry.\nCore expertise in Operational Risk Framework (events, incidents, loss data, RCSA, scenario analysis, policies and practice)\nCorporate Governance\nData management and reporting techniques \n\nWhat you need to do now \n\nIf you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.\nIf this job isn't quite right for you, but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion about your career.\n\nHays Specialist Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
