Corporate Audit Specialist (m/f/x)
The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Corporate Audit Specialist for the Global Corporate Audit team, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. You will gain broad knowledge of 3M’s processes, functions, and businesses through audits of subsidiaries, service centers, plants, acquisitions, and critical business processes.
Here, you will make an impact by:
* Being responsible for examining, evaluating and reporting on the accuracy of financial statements, adequacy of operational and internal controls, and identification of administrative efficiencies.
* Conducting interviews and walk throughs with various stakeholders and teams to identify gaps in controls or opportunities for operational improvements.
* Analyzing data and selecting samples for testing processes to identify control gaps and areas of potential operational improvement.
* Documenting and summarizing audit findings and developing recommendations for process improvement.
* Communicating audit findings both orally and in written form.
* Following up on the resolution of audit findings.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who meet the following minimum requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university/college in accounting or finance.
* Previous corporate audit experience is essential.
* Demonstrable experience working in accounting or finance is preferred.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills with business level fluency in English language.
* Strong communication skills.
* Experience of leading projects.
* Positive outlook with can-do attitude and ability to work under pressure.
Additional knowledge / nice-to-have skills / preferred qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
* Solid analytical, prioritization, and problem-solving abilities.
* Proficiency using Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Experience working with SAP.
* Experience using PowerBI.
* CIA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent local certification.
* Working knowledge of statistical sampling methodologies.
Job specifics:
* Global role - candidate is required to be located within a commutable distance to 3M UK, Bracknell, Berkshire.
* Travel expectations up to 50% expected domestic/international.
* Relocation: Not authorized.
* Hybrid working model with 2-3 days in the office.
* Working pattern - Full Time.
