Production Quality Technician JOB DESCRIPTION Job title: Production Quality Technician Department: Quality Responsible to: Quality Engineer Hours: 40 Hours/Week The Role As a Production Quality Technician, you will be the first point of contact on our shop floor, ensuring that our manufacturing processes are consistent and efficient. You'll work closely with the Production and Engineering teams to identify issues, implement improvements, and uphold our commitment to quality. Key Responsibilities Monitor and ensure adherence to quality standards throughout the production process. Identify opportunities for process enhancements and participate in Kaizen and 5S initiatives. Gather and analyse production data to assist in problem-solving and process validation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on continuous improvement projects, focusing on reducing inefficiencies and enhancing product quality and customer experience. Perform process and product audits to ensure compliance with internal and external standards. Assist in resolving quality issues through 8D analysis and other Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methods. Ensure that corrective actions are implemented and sustained. What We're Looking For An engineering-based background with hands-on experience in a production environment. A strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement. Practical, hands-on experience in manufacturing and quality processes. An understanding of the importance of standardization and process control in manufacturing. Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly document and convey issues and improvements. A proactive, self-driven approach, with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards. Quality Skillset & Behaviours Solid understanding of ISO 9001:2015 standards and their application in a manufacturing environment. Ability to apply proactive versus reactive approaches in quality planning. Proficient in Problem Solving Techniques and Root Cause Analysis, with experience managing Corrective & Preventative Actions (CAPA). Skilled in analysing and interpreting core documentation, including engineering drawings and measurement techniques. Adherence to all Health, Safety, and Environmental policies. Assertive, optimistic, resilient, and adaptable to change. Able to engage others with a collaborative mindset, proactively contribute to team efforts, and work independently with strong moral courage and honesty.
