Why Join Us?
• Salary: Up to £28,000 per year (dependent on experience), with a review after 12 months.
• Generous Holiday Allowance: 28 days (including bank holidays), plus an extra day for each year of service (up to 5 additional days).
• Work-Life Balance: 40 hours per week, with standard hours from 10:00–19:00 and 2 days off per week (usually Tuesday and Saturday). Some flexibility is required, but we value your time and well-being.
• Travel: Work across the Bradford District, with occasional travel in West Yorkshire – a great chance to get out and about!
About the Role
As a Housing Officer, you’ll play a vital role in managing our properties and ensuring our tenants receive exceptional service. You’ll be the face of our business, building relationships with tenants, managing rental income, and handling repairs and maintenance. This is a hands-on, varied role where you’ll tackle challenges head-on and make a real impact.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage rents, collections, and arrears, working closely with our office team to ensure smooth operations.
• Conduct property inspections, health and safety checks, and inventory management.
• Handle tenancy agreements, breaches, and evictions in line with relevant legislation.
• Oversee repair and maintenance programmes, sourcing contractors and managing performance.
• Resolve tenant issues, manage nuisance orders, and liaise with local authorities and professional bodies.
• Maintain records, write reports, and contribute to business improvement initiatives.
• Respond to emergencies and urgent issues with confidence and efficiency.
What We’re Looking For:

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with diverse groups of people.
• Proven experience in customer service – housing or property experience is a bonus!
• Strong organisational, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
• Resilience and the ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism.
• A full driving licence and access to a car (essential for the role).
• A proactive, can-do attitude and a passion for making a difference.
