To organise and effectively manage the workload in the testing and commissioning of switchgear and control panels. It will also be necessary to complete tasks as required in a safe and efficient manner.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Carry out commissioning, SAT and IST as required.
2. Conduct on-site training.
3. Visit sites to carry out site/switchgear surveys.
4. Be on call to attend site as part of the emergency call-out agreements.
5. Provide technical support both on-site and in the works.
6. Perform and allocate tasks to operatives as required including, but not limited to:
1. switchboard modifications
2. maintenance
3. thermographic surveys
7. Remain on the job in a productive or supporting role.
8. Give guidance and support to the Team.
9. Assist the Team to correctly interpret drawings.
10. Inform the Engineering office of any urgently required parts.
11. Notify the Engineering office of any critical shortages.
12. Report to the Engineering office any concerns regarding parts/build/people/equipment.
13. Inform the Group Safety Officer of any concerns regarding safety, welfare, and environmental whilst on site.
14. Monitor and maintain cleanliness and tidiness in and around your working area.
15. Provide technical support, testing, and training for all aspects of switchgear and control panels.
16. Comply with and implement the Q&E management system within your area of activity.
REPORTING INTO:
HOURS OF WORK:
08:00 – 16:00 on site Monday to Friday with some weekends as required. Flexibility is required to complete all necessary tasks on site.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:
1. NVQ L3 in Electrical Discipline
2. SSSTS
3. Full UK Driving Licence
4. Valid Passport
5. Experience in LV Switchgear
