This South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust Rotational Physiotherapy Position Incorporates Three Distinct Rotations, Which Are All Fully Supported By Senior Staff. These Include:
1. Orthopaedic Inpatients - where you will get to work as part of a nationally renowned elective orthopaedic service and a comprehensive trauma service.
2. SWATT - a community MDT service, which provides an opportunity to develop complex clinical skills while delivering community rehabilitation to orthopaedic patients.
3. Musculoskeletal Outpatient Physiotherapy - with access to FCP, pain specialists and orthopaedic triage clinicians.
The post includes weekend working and On-Call responsibilities, covering an orthopaedic and respiratory caseload. Car driver essential.
Key Responsibilities:
1. To provide a high standard physiotherapy service to general and specialist out-patient settings, Specialist in-patient services in Orthopaedics and the community service for the Orthopaedic early discharge scheme [SWATT].
2. To participate in the Band 6 rotational scheme, which involves 9 monthly rotations working across the Trust.
3. To work as an accountable and autonomous practitioner, holding responsibility for own caseload.
4. To work in conjunction with the Pathway and Team leads in planning, co-ordinating, delivering and evaluating the Physiotherapy service within the rotation on a day to day basis.
5. To take a role in the provision of support and clinical supervision of less experienced physiotherapy staff and undergraduate students.
6. To deputise for the Team leaders as required.
7. To keep accurate records of patient contact using written records and electronic data capture.
8. To actively participate in weekend working and the on-call service.
