Job Summary
We all experience difficulties in life sometimes. Making sense of these, and finding a way through them can be challenging if we try to do it alone.
In counselling sessions with me, you will be completely welcomed and supported to explore whatever feels important to you. I will offer you the time and space to slow down, bring mindful attention to your experience and discover new perspectives. I will listen to you with compassion, respect and hold what you share in confidence. Together we can give your difficult feelings, thoughts and emotions the space that they need to be heard, felt and understood. I will support you to deepen your connection to the things you find meaningful in life, and accompany you in finding new ways forward so you can make choices that feel positive for you.
Responsibilities
1. Conduct counselling sessions that are integrative and collaborative.
2. Utilize mindfulness, grounding, and visualization exercises when appropriate.
3. Support clients in exploring new perspectives and finding self-acceptance.
4. Maintain confidentiality and provide a safe space for clients.
Qualifications
I am a qualified counsellor with training in Buddhist psychology. I am autistic, so I have lived experience of the strengths and challenges that this can bring, and my practice is neurodiversity-affirming. I am passionate about supporting neurodivergent people towards finding self-acceptance.
