The Role
Are you passionate about helping people re-enter the workforce and transforming lives? Join them as an Employability Adviser delivering the Restart Scheme. You will assist long-term unemployed adults (6 months or more) in finding sustainable employment.
In this role, you'll work one-on-one with participants, providing tailored employment support to overcome barriers, build confidence, and develop skills for re-employment. This includes personalised career coaching, retraining for new sectors, and supported job searching, guiding participants every step of the way.
Key Responsibilities
* Empowering individuals with expert career advice, motivation, and confidence-building strategies
* Delivering intensive one-to-one support to identify strengths and transferable skills
* Creating tailored action plans to achieve employment goals
* Facilitating group sessions on job search strategies and skill development
* Building relationships with local employers and staying updated on the job market
* Managing your caseload to ensure ongoing support for each participant
* Meeting and exceeding targets to make a tangible impact on people's lives
About You
While experience in the employability sector or a level 4 Careers Information Advice and Guidance qualification is desirable, they are also interested in candidates from other sectors who have achieved personal targets and excelled in customer service, with an understanding of the local labour market and supporting unemployed adults to secure sustainable employment.
Skills and Qualifications
* A good standard of literacy and numeracy (GCSE grade 4 / C or equivalent)
* Ability to use digital tools to support participants
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working partnerships
* Accurate record-keeping and data entry skills
* Strong communication skills and the ability to handle demanding pressures and meet deadlines
* Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
