What you'll be doing
This is a dual role where you’ll lead on both commercial legal matters and all things data protection. You’ll:
* Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts – think merchant agreements, tech services, and partnerships.
* Be a trusted legal advisor across the business, especially on operational and commercial questions.
* Build and maintain data protection policies and procedures that keep the company compliant and ahead of the curve.
* Ensure ongoing compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant laws in the payments space.
* Work closely with teams across the business to make privacy and legal compliance seamless and practical.
We’re looking for someone who has:
* Solid commercial legal experience, ideally with payments or fintech exposure.
* Data protection / GDPR experience in a regulated or tech-driven setting.
* A confident approach to drafting and negotiating commercial agreements.
* A proactive mindset and excellent stakeholder skills – you know how to build trust and explain the ‘why’.
* The ability to work autonomously and juggle competing priorities.
