If so, we are seeking a dedicated professional to join our Connected Communities team as the Connected Communities Manager, who will drive our vision of putting the community at the centre of everything we do.
The Role:
The Connected Communities Manager will create and deliver effective strategies for improved community service provision and community engagement, encouraging greater involvement from residents to shape local services. Partnership working, councillor and stakeholder management are key features of this role, and you will have responsibility of overseeing the effective delivery of community related grant funding and support for and engagement with the Community and Voluntary sector. You will also be responsible for the line management, development and mentoring of a team of professionals.
You will also have:
Proven people skills with strong communication, report and policy writing, presentation and project management abilities.
Ability to strategically manage your workload and that of your team, with the ability to think creatively and problem solve to achieve objectives.
Experience of dealing directly with elected members, local community organisations, external partners and suppliers.
An understanding of organisational governance, charity law and the effective management of funding schemes.
An understanding of community development and a commitment to promoting equality and inclusion.
