About the Company:
I am currently recruiting on behalf of a British luxury automotive manufacturer whose main products are sports cars, produced in-house in designated production facilities. They are looking for a Powertrain Technical Project Lead to join their team on a long-term rolling basis.
Purpose of the Role:
* Reporting to the Principal Engineer & working with the Technical Program Manager on Powertrain Cooling programs.
* Working alongside Project Engineers in a small team to be responsible for the delivery of engine systems and components into small volume high-performance specialist vehicle programs.
Essential Criteria:
* Cradle to Grave approach - working within a cross-functional team from R&D stage, through concept, design release, production launch, and series production support to collectively deliver the whole vehicle specification targets and contribute to the overall business KPIs.
* Responsible for releasing designs that meet the following targets through coordination of internal and external design resources:
o Cost (Piece, Tooling, D&D)
o Performance (As specified through the full vehicle attributes and cascaded down to component level specification)
o Timing
o Feasibility (supporting in-house manufacturing or assembly processes as well as supplied components)
Additional Requirements:
* CATIA V5 / V6 2D/3D skills with GD&T application experience.
* A high level of technical knowledge & experience of Powertrain component & system design, packaging, engine test & production.
* SAP Capable - ER Management & Release, BOM Structuring, Cost Management.
