An exciting opportunity has arisen at Broomfield hospital for a Occupational Therapist to join the therapy team in a band 5 to 6 development position. We are looking for a dynamic Occupational Therapist who is keen to work in an acute hospital setting across a range of specialities.
The position is ideal for band 5 Occupational Therapist looking to develop their skills and progress into a band 6 position. You will be supported via a bespoke developmental plan and receive input to complete set competencies over a 6 month period. Other specific areas for development will be negotiated. Progress towards re-banding to band 6 level will be regularly reviewed and discussed.
Once you have achieved the developmental competencies, you will be part of an agile, friendly, highly motivated team of therapists working within multidisciplinary teams delivering rehabilitation to, and discharge planning for, patients on our inpatient adult population.

You will be responsible for assessing, treating and clinically managing patients with a range of conditions and functional deficits, and creating the treatment program required to achieve a successful discharge.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for the provision of Occupational Therapist in the acute setting; excellent communication skills, and a desire to grow and develop people and services around them.
The post holder will participate in our rostered weekend and public holiday service working approximately one weekend a month.
