Aberdeen Arts Centre is seeking a visionary and dynamic Executive Director to lead the organization into its next chapter of growth and artistic excellence.
A cornerstone of Aberdeen's cultural landscape for over 60 years, the Arts Centre is looking for an experienced leader to build on their legacy and drive their mission forward.
The Role:
As Executive Director, you will:
1. Provide strategic leadership and business direction for the Arts Centre
2. Oversee all managerial, financial, and operational functions
3. Collaborate with the Programming and Creative Director & Board to deliver on the artistic vision & strategy
4. Engage with the community
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement strategic plans and budgets
2. Manage and inspire a talented team of staff and volunteers
3. Ensure financial sustainability and growth
4. Oversee marketing, sales, and audience development initiatives
5. Maintain and enhance facilities and assets
Ideal Candidate:
We are seeking someone who possesses:
1. Proven leadership experience in arts management or general business
2. Strong financial acumen and budgeting skills
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
4. A passion for the arts and community engagement
5. Flexibility, innovative thinking, and entrepreneurial spirit
6. An ability to contribute both strategically and operationally
This is a full-time, on-site, permanent staff position.
