Your Role As a Hire Desk Controller, you’ll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring everything runs like clockwork. You’ll work closely with the Operations Manager and collaborate with a fantastic team to handle enquiries, convert leads into hires, and coordinate the delivery and collection of equipment with precision and efficiency. Your contribution will be key to ensuring our customers receive top-notch service every time. Your Main Responsibilities Will Include: Handle enquiries and convert them into hire business, delivering a seamless customer experience Manage orders (On-hires) and arrange collections (Off-hires) Provide accurate quotes using our CRM system, ensuring clarity and precision Coordinate transport to ensure timely deliveries and collections Prepare drivers’ paperwork daily to maintain smooth operations Communicate with site teams to ensure we meet customer needs Manage loss and damage cases professionally, with clear reporting and communication Provide outstanding customer service on incoming calls, ensuring customer satisfaction To Achieve This, You Will Need: Previous customer service experience, ideally in a hire/sales environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – you’ll be the face of MGF for many of our customers A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment and is happy to pitch in when needed Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise in a busy, fast-paced environment PC literacy – experience with Microsoft Office and CRM systems is a plus A positive, can-do attitude with a drive to get things done Local area knowledge for Dartford and the surrounding regions What You’ll Get: Additional annual leave awarded to recognise long-service A company Christmas shutdown and the option to purchase additional days of annual leave Opportunities for training, development, and career progression Pension Scheme and Life Assurance Award and recognition initiatives The security of working for a national organisation with core family values at our heart Refer a friend scheme And so much more… This is a chance to join a growing company that values every team member.
